About
Hello and welcome!
People always ask how I got into baking and cake decorating, but I can't quite remember myself. I only remember trying to bake with my sisters and me telling myself that I want to get good at doing this one day. I started baking for fun and family occasions then eventually got orders from friends and family, now here I am!
Cake decorating or cake art, as some of us like to call it, is my creative outlet. I create my unique edible designs in London. If you are looking for a special birthday cake, wedding cake or a cake for any special occasion, get in touch!

TERMS & CONDITIONS
DEFINITIONS
The “Seller”, "Us" or "We" is defined as the Cakes by Juwon. The “Buyer” means the person (legal or natural) who buys the goods. “Goods” is defined as the items to be supplied by the Seller to the Buyer as listed in the invoice.
GENERAL
These Terms and conditions shall apply to the sale of the Goods by the Seller to the Buyer to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions referred except where the Seller has agreed to such variation in writing and/or by way of signature. By ordering from Cakes by Juwon you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Conditions) and accept that these Conditions may be modified or amended from time to time.
ONLINE QUOTATION REQUEST
Please note that by clicking "submit" does not mean that your order has been accepted. Confirmation of acceptance will be via email once the order has been finalised. All orders are not confirmed without a deposit and all cakes must be paid for before collection. To order your cake after the design has been accepted, a 50% non refundable deposit of the final price standing is required. This applies to all cakes.
Booking early is advisable and we ask for wedding cakes at least 3 months before the event and other occasion cakes at least 2 weeks before the event.
All price quotations, written or verbal, are valid for 10 days from the date of quotation. All prices are non negotiable and priced according to your specific design and size. If you require us to work to a specific budget we will change the design accordingly where possible. We do not price match and the prices given are a reflection on the time spent on each custom project and the quality of ingredients and details used.
PAYMENT AND DEPOSIT
We require a 50% non-refundable deposit to confirm an order and hold the date. The remaining 50% is due 2 weeks before the cake is collected, at which point all changes must be confirmed (changes to the previously agreed design may incur extra fees). Orders placed less than 2 weeks in advance of the delivery date must be paid in full. The final balance specified on the invoice must be paid by the Buyer 2 weeks before the collection date. Payment can be made earlier if you wish. Failure to complete payment 2 weeks before the delivery date may result in your order being cancelled. By making a payment the Buyer is accepting the Terms and Conditions as detailed on this page.
All prices are non-negotiable and priced according to your specific design and size. If you require us to work to a specific budget, we will change the design accordingly where possible. We do not price match and the prices given are a reflection on the time spent on each custom project and the quality of ingredients and details used.
REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances due to any loss of business arising from turning away other bookings on that date. Full payments made less than 2 weeks in advance of the delivery date are non-refundable. We cannot refund the cost of any orders cancelled with less than 2 week’s notice. Orders paid in full and cancelled with more than 2 weeks notice will receive a partial refund of 50% of the total amount paid. In the very unlikely event that we have to cancel your order for any reason, then we will give you as much notice as possible, and will refund the full price to you.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
The images on the Instagram page are examples of the cakes made by Cakes by Juwon. All products are hand made and can be ordered in different sizes from those shown on the Instagram page, your cake may have variations from the Instagram image.
CONSULTATIONS
Consultations are by appointment only and are not applicable to all orders. An appointment for a consultation and tasting must be agreed on with Cakes by Juwon by email and a non-refundable consultation fee must be paid prior to consultation date before it can be confirmed. All appointments for consultations will be confirmed in writing by Cakes by Juwon.
PRICE QUOTATIONS
All price quotations, written or verbal, are valid for 10 days from the date of quotation.
ALTERATIONS
If you have any queries or need to make any changes to an order please contact us immediately. Alterations and amendments must be submitted in writing. We will assess the request for an alteration, and endeavour to make alteration where possible dependant on the design and amount of notice given. We will let you know its effect on the price and any agreed timetable. Accepting any alterations is at the discretion of the Seller. Alterations requested at short notice may be subject to a surcharge. It is the Buyer’s responsibility to check any quotes and invoices thoroughly before making payment. We reserve the right to change the design at any point if circumstances beyond our control compromise the quality of the finished product. e.g. weather conditions. The Buyer will be notified of any such changes and we will endeavour to keep any changes minimal.
DAMAGES
In the unlikely event that your order arrives damaged, it is the customer’s responsibility to report the damage to us within 48 hours and send photographic evidence of the damage within 7 working days if you wish to claim a refund or replacement. The Seller will not take back any undamaged goods from the Buyer unless agreed in writing by the Seller. The Seller accepts no liability for cakes once they leave the premises. For cakes delivered to venues, the Seller requires a signed delivery note by the person in charge to say that the cake has arrived and that it arrived in perfect condition. Damages after this point are not Cakes by Juwon’s responsibility. All Cakes by Juwon cakes are fragile and require care and attention when handling, storing, and displaying. Please pay careful attention to our storage and transportation (where relevant) instructions that will be provided with the cake. Where samples of the Goods are shown to the Buyer, the Buyer hereby accepts that they consider such samples to be representative of the Goods. Any description applied to the Goods is only given by way of identification and does not constitute a sale by description. Any image provided as part of the description of similar goods is given for illustrative purposes only. Given the nature of the goods, minor variations of colour and design may apply.
ALLERGIES AND SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
Please discuss any allergies or special dietary requirements with us before making payment. Our products are not suitable for those with allergies as our kitchen handles wheat and nuts.
DELIVERY AND COLLECTION
We cannot be held liable for any damages to the cake or products we have delivered once we have delivered or delivered and set up the cake at the venue or delivery location and received a signature for the safe receipt of the goods on our delivery note (we will deliver with a delivery note). If the cake or products are collected from us, we cannot be held liable for any damages to the cake or products once they have left our premises. The collection vehicle should have a flat surface and be clean and tidy. This is the responsibility of the Buyer. The cake or products can be very fragile so we advise to drive very slowly and carefully and purchase non-slip matting. We will always endeavour to deliver within the given time slot, however unfortunately delivery timings can not be guaranteed. Refunds will not be given for delayed deliveries. If in the unlikely event the delivery is delayed, we will always endeavour to deliver the cake to you as close as possible to the given delivery time.
AFTER DELIVERY
Goods placed outside are liable to react to the temperature. In hot or humid weather there is the possibility of sugar decorations melting or damage to Goods. Please note, we do not provide cake tables, tablecloths or cutting knives. It is the responsibility of the Buyer to provide these or check with the venue to ensure these items are provided.
NON-EDIBLE INGREDIENTS AND DECORATIONS
Our Goods may contain non-edible ingredients or decorations, such as plastic dowels in tiered cakes or wires in some sugar flowers. These must be removed before serving or eating.
COMPLAINTS
If you wish to make a complaint to us or let us know any concerns after receiving the Goods, please do so in writing. Evidence of any faults, damages or discrepancies should be included. Any refunds will be given entirely at discretion.
PRIVACY POLICY
This policy outlines Cakes by Juwon’s obligations that meet with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on how your data is handled, how long it is kept and for what purpose your data is collected in the first instance.
WHY DO YOU COLLECT MY INFORMATION?
Information collected such as your address, telephone number, age, date of birth, food intolerances and email, is for the primary purpose of designing, delivering and organising your cake order effectively. If you have subscribed to our mailing list, we will use your information to keep you informed of any updates, sales offers and marketing preferences. So our relations with you are always tailor made to what you need. When we collect your information we will, where appropriate and reasonable, explain to you why we are collecting it and how we will use it.
WILL MY INFORMATION BE PASSED TO ANY THIRD PARTIES?
The third parties that we would ever pass on your information to, is in the case of delivery. Should we hire someone to deliver your order, if for example we were unable to for any reason. Or should the UK Government require us to share your information with them by law. Any links to our website from other social networks and their cookies are under their own privacy policies. Check out their t’s and c’s for the policies they hold.
Should we receive any information about you from third parties, we will within reason take steps to make you aware of any information. Generally, we will collect your information personally and only from you, occasionally and in some circumstances third parties pass on information. We will always ask permission from you in the use of it as already stated in this policy.
WILL I BE ABLE TO ASK FOR MY INFORMATION TO NOT BE USED?
Yes, you may unsubscribe from mailing/marketing at any time by notifying us in writing. Likewise, should you wish to cease contact with Cakes by Juwon we will delete all your information that we hold. Again, notify us in writing and we will take the relevant action as agreed.
WHAT IS SENSITIVE INFORMATION?
Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act as, information or opinion about things as a persons Faith, ethnic origin, political leanings, political opinion, philosophical beliefs, trade union or other professional memberships, health information or criminal record.
HOW WILL YOU USE MY SENSITIVE INFORMATION?
Your sensitive information will be used by us only for the use it was attained, which will be explained to you if/when we collect such information. With your consent, or where required or authorised by law.
HOW WILL YOU KEEP MY SENSITIVE INFORMATION SAFE?
We store your information in a way that within reason protects it from unauthorised access and misuse and modification and unwanted disclosure.
When your information is no longer needed, for the purpose it was collected for, we will take steps to delete, destroy our copies of and permanently un-identify your personal information. That said, by law we are required to keep said information for a minimum of 7 years as client files. Unless you have expressly requested we delete such files and have no future dealings with us.
HOW CAN I ACCESS MY PERSONAL INFORMATION YOU HOLD?
You may at any time change, correct or update your information we hold about you, subject to certain exceptions naturally. Should you wish to access the information we hold, please contact us in writing. Cakes by Juwon will not charge a fee for your access request, though a small charge for administration may be applicable in the case of requesting a hard copy.
Maintaining accurate and up to date information is important to us and it helps us give you the best service we possibly can, if you feel your information is out of date please notify us.
In order to effectively protect your information, we may require identification from you before giving you access to the personal information we hold as a security measure.
You reserve the right to request a free electronic copy of your personal data we hold. All requests must be made in writing. Please allow up to 30 days for us to respond and process this information.
